MBA Program Structure

The MBA program is composed of 52 credit units. The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for competitive challenges of the global marketplace, technological and communication paradigm shifts, and the flexibility to adapt to rapid and abrupt changes in the business environment. The program also takes into consideration the unique economic conditions, the social mores, and the cultural needs of Armenia and the region.

Admitted students are required to take Effective Communication and Quantitative Methods courses in August, before to enter the first semester of the program. The program curriculum has 3 main components: required (core) courses, concentration specific electives and general management electives.

1. Required courses. The MBA core consists of required foundation courses in the major functional areas of business and a comprehensive study of the economic, political, legal, and social contexts within which the business enterprise operates. The MBA core gives students a firm understanding of the tools of general management and provides them with innovative techniques for solving managerial problems.

Students are required to take the following courses:

BUS300             Introduction to International Competitive Strategy
BUS305             Managing People and Organizations
BUS320             Data Analysis for Business Decisions

2. Elective Courses. The MBA curriculum is flexible enough to allow students to pursue special areas of interest by selecting a variety of elective courses. The electives allow students to integrate the knowledge and skills learned in core courses and to customize their learning experience. With a variety of elective courses to choose from, students have the opportunity to tailor their program of study in a way that fits their career goals and aspirations.
